Spicy Maple Cinnamon Butter

prep time: minutes | Cook Time: 8 minutes | makes 1 cup


1/2 cup pure maple syrup

1 stick (8oz) Butter (I use Grass-fed, salted)

1/8 tsp cayenne pepper

1/4 tsp cinnamon


Heat the syrup in a small saucepan so it’s simmering but not boiling over. You want to heat this until it reaches about 240 degrees (use a thermometer, a meat thermometer works. This will take about 8 minutes. Pour the syrup into a medium mixing bowl and beat with an electric mixer for 2-3 mintues. allow the syrup to cool for 10 minutes or until room temperature.

add in the spices. Beat butter into the syrup, 1 tablespoon at a time. Continue to beat until fluffy, this should take a couple minutes.

Serve on your favorite breakfast sandwich, waffles, or pancakes.
